INTERAMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO (METRO CAMPUS)

The Metro campus has an ample history of exposition at the international level through faculty and student academic exchange programs. The purpose of the Office of International Relations (OIR) of Inter American University of Puerto Rico Is to unify and bring together the efforts and development of projects and activities at the international level.

The office conveys how important inter-cultural education is for this institution and the campus’ commitment to expand its participation in the academic and research global networks. The ORI personnel assists in the coordination of international academic and research programs and makes sure that they are coherent with the institution’s policies and regulations.

Furthermore, the International Relations Office also stimulates the university community to explore the opportunities related to research projects, studies and endeavors leading to a greater international presence. 

Being able to study abroad is an unparalleled experience which allows students to appreciate the social and cultural differences among countries all over the world. The Office of International Relations facilitates the exchange of students in more than 120 universities and 28 countries. Once they come back, they are transformed as citizens of the world and are aware of their role as representatives of their own nation.
